We are the 9th uncle and auntie of Patrick living in Hong Kong. Since Patrick got married, we received Patrick's family photos nearly every year. We saw Elaine only in the pictures. We were told that she was a happy, beautiful and extremely energetic lady, full of wisdom and vitality. She exemplified undaunted courage in fighting against the life threatening illness and at the same time uttering devotion to her family and friends. Last year, in March, exactly a year before Elaine left us, we visited Patrick's family in Sunnyvale. We met the woman of Patrick's dreams and their two lovely kids, Justin and Meredith. Elaine looked charming, cheerful and healthy. Her smiling face full of sincerity and care. We had great time together. We could not believe that this was the first and also the last time we met.
